Class Description:

Training Overview
The D3A2 Professional Development Toolkit is an extensive collection of training materials including activity guides, sample agendas, support materials, and insightful video clips. This training provides a detailed introduction to materials included in Module I and Module II.

The Facilitator’s Guide describes the organization of the PD Toolkit Modules and provides an overview of how the materials should be used to be used to plan, implement, and evaluate training.

Module III consists of learning activities for teachers to acquaint them with using the D3A2 Data Tool to analyze how well students performed on the OAT and OGT administrations.

Module IV consists of learning activities designed to help teachers answer the question “how can the interpretation of item analysis data be used to inform my decisions about curriculum, instruction, and assessment?"

Training Objectives
As a result of attending this training attendees will be able to:

  • Locate and access the D3A2 Professional Development Toolkit materials by creating an account and logging into the D3A2 website.

  • Understand how the PD Toolkit materials are organized.

  • Summarize the Guiding Question and Competencies for Modules III & IV.

  • Assess whether the D3A2 PD Toolkit Module III and IV materials are applicable to their district’s professional development goals and needs.

  • Use the Activity Guides, Blank Agenda Templates, and Pre-Assessments provided in Modules III & IV to create custom trainings to address their teachers’ specific needs.
